Chhattisgarh / Korba : VRS of SECL officers has been re-commissioned after 20 years. But it will be mandatory to tell the authorities the reason for taking VRS. Also, they have to take permission from CMD. In this regard, General Tripti Parag Shah, General Manager of Coal India has issued a notification. According to this, top officers will now have to apply for filling VRS by filling the complete information in a standard format. Approval of CMD of the company concerned will be required with the application, not only that the application will be forwarded by the department head of the company concerned. Officials will have to indicate their last date of attendance. Importantly, there are 3200 officers employed in various mines of SECL. Most of the officials are looking for VRS as SECL is increasing coal production by opening new mines, in proportion to which there has been a shortage of officers, the number of VRSA officers will be reduced further.
