Bhupesh Baghel celebrates his 58th Birthday.

Bhupesh Baghel was born on 23 August 1961 in Durg district to an Agricultural family of Nand Kumar Baghel and Bindeshwari Baghel.

Baghel was elected as Minister of State, Chief Minister related, Public Grievances Redressal (Independent Charge, M.P. Governance in Digvijay Singh’s cabinet in December 1998 and serves as Minister of Transport in December 1999. When the state of Chhattisgarh was formed in November 2000, he became a member of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly and appointed as Minister, Revenue, Public Health Mechanics under CG Governance. He again became MLA in 2003 state election from the same seat. He lost the Patan assembly seat in the 2008 elections. He also lost Parliamentary elections in 2009 from Raipur. Bhupesh Baghel took oath as the third chief minister of Chhattisgarh on the 17th of December 2018. Immediately after hours of taking his oath as the CM he announced farm loan waiver and raising paddy support price by 50%. He also announces many welfare schemes in his ongoing terms:

1.Narwa-Garwa-Ghurwa-au-Badi (NGGB) :-

Baghel also as an architect of this innovative scheme ensures to revive the agricultural economy by striking a balance between modernity and traditions. The scheme has been launched to ensure water conversation, livestock protection, and development, use of organic compost through household waste and cultivation of fruits and vegetables in backyards for self-consumption, and earning additional income.

 2.  Godan Nyaya Yojana :-

Godan Nyaya Yojana started in Chhattisgarh on 20th July. Under this scheme, the government will buy cow dung at the rate of 2 rupees from cattle rearers, and then organic fertilizer will be prepared from it. The aim of the scheme is to promote animal husbandry as well as decrease agricultural costs and increase the fertility of the land. The scheme is expected to bring about major changes in the rural economy along with improving the environment. The Godhan Nyaya Yojana will also create employment opportunities on a large scale.

Baghel also initiated the recruitment process of thousands of teachers in school-colleges, Kanya Vivah Yojana assistance amount was increased from 15 thousand rupees to 25 thousand rupees. The Tendu Leaves collection rate in the state has been increased from Rs 2500 to Rs 4000 per standard bag. Many public welfare decisions like the withdrawal of land acquired by the industrial company in Lohandiguda, Bastar, the formation of Indravati Development Authority, power bill half up to 400 units have changed the lives of people. The incentive amount for the marriage of Divyangjans was increased from Rs 50 thousand per couple to Rs 01 lakh, increase in honorarium of Anganwadi workers and assistants, for the recruitment of Group C and D in the Municipal plant of National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) in Dantewada. Convinced NMDC.

Taking another major decision, the Chief Minister has announced a 13 percent reservation for Scheduled Caste cadre and 27 percent reservation for Other Backward Classes. This decision of the government will benefit the people of the SC and OBC communities of the state.
